4th Quarter Covid News Update


Stone Child College received $703,542 from the U.S. Department of Education under Section 18004(a)(1) Student portion of the CARES Act, CRRSA, and ARP Act. Stone Child College is using this funding to provide Emergency Aid Grants for COVID-19 Pandemic related needs to SCC students.

All students enrolled at SCC starting the 2020 Spring Semester (Academic Year 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022) forward, were eligible to request Emergency Financial Aid Grants. The total enrolled at the beginning of the Fall Semester of the academic year 2021-2022 was 377 students.

SCC gave out $435,000 to 155 students during the 4th quarter of the 2021 year.

Stone Child College established an application system for students requesting Emergency Financial Aid Grants. Students were notified of the applications process via email to all students at the beginning of each semester. Students’ complete applications via Microsoft Forms. The applications are reviewed by a committee including personnel from SCC’s Financial Aid Department. Once a student’s application has been accepted and their status verified, they are notified via email that they will receive an Emergency Financial Aid Grant and how to get access to the funds.
